Elizabeth Day
Elizabeth Day (born 10 November 1978) is a British journalist, broadcaster and novelist. Day has been a feature writer for ''The Observer'' since 2007 and has written three novels.
==Early life==
The daughter of a doctor,〔Sue Leonard ("The dark side of Day" ), ''Irish Examiner'', 5 February 2011〕 Day was born in the south of England, but raised in Northern Ireland. Interested in being a writer from the age of 7, she realised journalism was a preparation for her long-term goal, and had a column in the ''Derry Journal'' at the age of 12.〔Nikesh () ("Elizabeth Day: Home fires burning bright" ), ''Book Trust'', 13 March 2013〕 Day was educated at Malvern St James Girls School in Worcestershire,〔("Prizegiving 2012" ), Malvern St James, ''OGA News'', Spring 2013, p.6〕 and read history at Cambridge University,〔("Faculty of History - Careers" ), University of Cambridge〕 gaining a double-first.〔
